Privacy Policy

Summary

Fujikage is a native iPhone and iPad app for controlling supported Fujifilm cameras. We collect the minimum information needed to run the beta, provide support, process App Store purchases, operate optional diagnostics, and improve camera connection reliability.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use advertising trackers. Fujikage has no third-party analytics integrations. Our telemetry, crash reporting, backend services, website hosting, and support tooling are operated by us on our own infrastructure.

Information You Provide

• Beta and contact forms may collect your email address, message text, camera models, platform preferences, and related support details.
• Support emails may include whatever information you choose to send us, such as screenshots, logs, camera model details, and issue descriptions.
• If you request deletion, support, or account-related help, we may keep the request long enough to complete and document the response.

Information The App Collects

• Camera connection data, such as workflow stage, event name, outcome, error code, app version, OS version, device model, camera model, and timing information. Diagnostics may include a pseudonymous camera identifier (a SHA-256 hash of the camera serial number, computed on the device) and a short serial suffix. The full serial number never leaves the device.
• Random app/session identifiers used to correlate diagnostics across a connection attempt. These are not intended to identify you by name.
• Optional crash, hang, and performance diagnostics through our self-hosted crash reporting service.
• Optional location data when you use GPS tagging or GPS persistence features. Location is used to write location information to your camera when you ask the app to do so.
• Local camera and app settings stored on your device, such as paired camera records, workflow preferences, telemetry consent, and GPS interval settings.

Fujikage does not upload your photos or videos to us as part of normal app operation. Live view and camera transfers are initiated by you and are used to provide the requested camera-control feature.

Telemetry And Consent

Fujikage includes in-app privacy controls for telemetry. You can choose no telemetry, error-only diagnostics, or broader usage diagnostics. Paid functionality does not require telemetry consent, and you can change or withdraw consent in Settings at any time.

Before telemetry leaves the device, Fujikage scrubs known sensitive fields such as camera Wi-Fi passphrases, SSIDs, BSSIDs, MAC addresses, serial-like identifiers, photo names, and precise GPS coordinates unless a diagnostic build is deliberately configured otherwise.

How We Use Information

• Operate the app, website, beta signup, support, and backend APIs.
• Debug pairing, Wi-Fi handoff, live view, transfer, and camera-control failures.
• Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.
• Maintain App Store purchase state and entitlement records.
• Protect the service from abuse, fraud, and operational failures.

App Store Purchases

Fujikage is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple processes App Store downloads, payments, refunds, subscription management, taxes, and related transaction notices under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. We receive App Store server notifications needed to maintain entitlement state, such as product identifiers, transaction identifiers, renewal or refund events, and app account tokens when provided by the app.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share Fujikage telemetry with advertising networks or analytics services. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the security of the service, or to complete an App Store purchase, refund, or entitlement flow through Apple.

Retention And Deletion

We keep beta/signup/support records while needed to manage the beta, provide support, and maintain ordinary business records. Diagnostic telemetry and crash records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for debugging, reliability analysis, security, and abuse prevention. Aggregated operational metrics may be retained longer.

You can request access, correction, or deletion by emailing [email protected] or using our contact form. Deletion requests are install-scoped: a completed request removes all backend telemetry for the install, including camera identifiers. Per-camera deletion is not offered. We may need to retain limited records where required for legal, security, purchase, refund, or dispute-resolution reasons.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for Fujikage systems, including HTTPS for network transport and access controls for backend systems. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

Children

Fujikage is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided us personal information, contact us so we can delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy as Fujikage changes. The updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
